Our jam sessions and Jam with the Band events are paused for June - August but will resume in the fall - check back here in August for updated info on September events.   In the Meantime we have a great summer of Bluegrass Music in store for you!

MVBGA Summer Concert Schedule

 

All our concerts are free, on the lawn (bring your lawn chair) and we will take a free will offering to support the MVBGA and the RACC.  If it rains concerts will move inside the center.   The Arts Center will also have their Markets, Music and More every Monday featuring food trucks and many other vendors.  

We could use a few volunteers to help with the concerts – we need folks to feed the traveling bands on June 17 and August 9th – MVBGA will pay for the pizza – also folks to man the merchandise table and take free will offerings for all the concerts – please email mvbga2002@gmail.com if you can help us out – let us know dates you would be available.

Monday June 17th 6:00 PM  - The Kevin Prater Band from Kentucky.   One of the top Bluegrass bands on the national scene, The Kevin Prater Band is frequently recognized and celebrated for their stellar harmonies and acapella singing.      For more on the Kevin Prater Band check out their website - https://www.thekevinpraterband.com

Monday July 8th 5:30 PM -   Two bands – The Summit Park Rangers playing a mix of Bluegrass and Classic Rock – and Lizz Fiddle and Jeff Ingersoll playing and singing some great traditional  and Americana.

Monday August 5th 5:30 PM – Cincinnati Creek returns to the RACC – join Lori, Cathy, Chris and Joe for an evening of great Bluegrass Music and some original songs by Lori Thompson.

Friday August 9th 6:30 PM – the Country Gentlemen Tribute Band!!!!  Founded by original Country Gentlemen member Bill Yates the band is true to the tradition of the original band and their set list is full of Bluegrass classics.

Our Community Band – “Grass Rootz” – has a busy summer as well – come on out and support the group as we spread the word of Bluegrass around our region!   The band has been hard at work rehearsing and is excited to be playing 5 shows this summer!   Here’s the schedule:
