MAY JAM WITH THE BAND FEATURING THE CNY CHAPTER OF NYS OLD TIME FIDDLERS

 

The Concert/Jam Session will be held on Monday evening May 13 at 7:00 PM - doors open at 6:30 PM - suggested donation is $5.00.   Beer, Wine, and Soft Drinks will be available for a donation.   The Fiddlers will give a short concert, followed by a Bluegrass jam session hosted by local musician Bill Fahy. The family friendly event ends at 9:00 PM.

The Central Chapter Fiddlers (CCF) are comprised of members from Central New York State and the southern Tug Hill region, including Oneida, Madison and parts of Oswego, Onondaga and Lewis Counties.  Many of its members are very talented and experienced fiddlers who play in the Old Time, Irish and Bluegrass Genre.  CCF perform throughout the year at various regional fiddling events, town parks, assisted living facilities, living history museums, dances, etc.  The CCF holds their monthly jam session on the third Friday of each month at the Community Center in Williamstown (Oswego County), NY from 7pm to 9pm.  The public is always welcome to attend the meetings and jam sessions but don't forget to bring your old time instrument if you'd like to join in the jam sessions too!  To keep in top form, the member fiddlers in the CCF meet monthly in skill specific groups to learn new fiddle tunes and hone their fiddling skills.

Our next jam session is Saturday, April 20th in the Carriage House at the Rome Art and Community Center from 11AM until 2PM.
